Because I don't want a Chinese transmission.

I have a 2014, lol. Is there any thing wrong with the transmissions? Seems like it's good to me.

So you don't want the 5.0L engine either, right? Because the block is not casted in the USA, but in Mexico (in my state, actually.)

The thing is a lot of car parts now are made in china. So if the Chinese are to blame for that then you better be afraid of buying everything.

The MT-82 is the best manual transmission I've ever used, better than manuéls in Audis and BMWs I've driven.

I was just providing a link as to why some are skeptical towards that particular Chinese made transmission. (noting that 3 years have gone by so they would have fixed any problems by now)

Because it's my money that I would be spending?

But what if it's reliable and it works?

Largely the same. Upgraded linkage and synchros. My Dad's 14 GT has the MT-82 and it's great, no issues.

Warranty. Once that runs out, Tremec swap (if you need to).
Problem; Solved.
